Honest comparison, written by the ReachClaw team
A SiteGPT alternative with a flat price, from $6.99 a month
People look for a SiteGPT alternative when $59 a month is a lot for a chat that answers the same twenty questions, or when the message cap and the $39 branding add-on push the bill up. ReachClaw puts an AI chat on your website that answers from your own pages, for one flat price. It runs on your own Anthropic API key, so the AI usage is billed by Anthropic, not marked up by us.
Below: the prices side by side, what each tool does, and when SiteGPT is the better choice.

Why people look for a SiteGPT alternative
SiteGPT's pricing page (read on 12 October 2026) lists Starter at $59 a month, Growth at $129 and Scale at $429 when billed monthly. Paying a year up front brings those to $39, $79 and $259 a month. There is no free plan, and the 7-day trial asks for a card.
The plan caps messages by model: Starter gives up to 4,000 messages a month on GPT-4.1-mini or 400 on GPT-4.1. Removing the SiteGPT branding is $39 a month more, and so is each pack of 5,000 extra messages. Slack, Messenger and Crisp need the Growth plan; Zendesk needs Scale.
For a small business that wants a chat on its website to answer the questions its pages already answer, that is $59 to $98 a month before anything unusual happens. That is the gap ReachClaw is built for.
SiteGPT and ReachClaw, side by side
SiteGPT figures are from its pricing and product pages as read on 12 October 2026. ReachClaw figures are current.
| What | SiteGPT | ReachClaw |
|---|---|---|
| Starting price | Starter, $59/mo billed monthly ($39/mo billed yearly). No free plan; 7-day trial with a card. | Solo, $6.99/mo. You can sign up and look around for free; the chat needs a paid plan. |
| Monthly answers | Starter: up to 4,000 messages on GPT-4.1-mini or 400 on GPT-4.1, in any mix. Growth: 10,000 / 1,000. Scale: 40,000 / 4,000. | Solo 500, Growth 2,000, Scale 10,000 AI answers, whichever Claude model you pick. |
| What the AI usage costs | Included in the plan. Extra 5,000 messages cost $39/mo more. | Not in the price. The chat runs on your own Anthropic API key, and Anthropic bills that usage to you. |
| Removing the vendor's branding | Add-on, $39/mo ($468 a year). | Included on Growth ($29.99/mo) and Scale. On Solo the "Chat by ReachClaw" line stays. |
| What it answers from | Your website, sitemaps, files, Notion, Google Drive and more. Starter trains on up to 1,000 pages. | Your website pages, uploaded documents (PDF, TXT, CSV) and notes, with a link to the page it used. |
| Where it runs | Website, plus Slack, Messenger and Crisp on Growth, Zendesk on Scale, WhatsApp as a $39/mo add-on. | Your website only. |
| Handing over to a person | Escalate to a human; team of 1 on Starter, up to 4 on Growth, up to 10 on Scale. | The visitor leaves an email, you reply from Live chat or by email. One account owner replies. |
| Looking things up for the visitor | Integrations and webhooks on the higher plans. | Look-ups only, on Scale, through MCP servers you connect. It never changes anything. |
| AI models | OpenAI's GPT-4.1 and GPT-4.1-mini. | Anthropic's Claude, the model you pick in Settings. |
| Also in the same plan | The chatbot, analytics and a weekly digest. | AI replies to your Gmail, lead search and outbound emails. |
What you get instead
A chat for your website that handles the questions your pages already answer, and passes the rest to you with the visitor's email.
Answers from your own pages
ReachClaw reads your website, plus the documents and notes you add. The chat answers from that only, and says so when your pages don't cover a question.
Links to the page it used
When one of your pages covers the question, the answer links to it, so the visitor can read the rest themselves.
Hands over to you
When it can't answer, the visitor can ask for a person and leave their email. You get an alert and reply from the Live chat page or by email.
Email replies in the same plan
The same knowledge answers your support emails from Gmail, drafts outbound emails and finds leads. One plan, one place to keep facts up to date.
You add it with one line of code; no plugin or developer needed. How the website chat works.
When SiteGPT is the better choice
- You want the same bot in Slack, Messenger, Crisp, Zendesk or WhatsApp. ReachClaw's chat works on your website only.
- Several people answer chats and you need up to 10 team members. In ReachClaw one account owner replies.
- You want to train on Notion, Google Drive or tens of thousands of pages. ReachClaw reads your website, uploaded documents and notes.
- You'd rather not create an Anthropic account. SiteGPT includes the AI in its plan; ReachClaw needs your own API key.
- You want OpenAI's models. ReachClaw runs on Anthropic's Claude.
If none of that applies, and what you want is a chat on your website that answers from your pages and brings you the questions it can't answer, read on.
What ReachClaw costs
The website chat is in every paid plan, next to email replies and lead search. The AI runs on your own Anthropic API key, so that usage is billed by Anthropic at their published prices, on top of the plan.
| Plan | Price | Chat answers per month | Also |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $6.99/mo | 500 | Shows "Chat by ReachClaw" under the chat |
| Growth | $29.99/mo | 2,000 | You can hide "Chat by ReachClaw" |
| Scale | $69.99/mo | 10,000 | Hide "Chat by ReachClaw", look things up in your own systems, recognise signed-in visitors |
An answer is one AI reply in the chat, whichever Claude model you pick. If you run out, the chat stays on your site and asks visitors to leave a message. Compare all plans.

Questions people ask
How much does SiteGPT cost?
On its pricing page (read on 12 October 2026) SiteGPT lists Starter at $59 a month, Growth at $129 and Scale at $429 when billed monthly, or $39, $79 and $259 a month when you pay for a year up front. There is no free plan; the 7-day trial needs a card. Add-ons are $39 a month each for removing the SiteGPT branding, for 5,000 extra messages and for WhatsApp. Check their page for the latest figures.
How many answers does a SiteGPT plan give you?
SiteGPT counts messages and the limit depends on the model: Starter allows up to 4,000 messages a month on GPT-4.1-mini or 400 on GPT-4.1, in any mix. ReachClaw counts answers, not model tokens: Solo includes 500 AI answers a month, Growth 2,000 and Scale 10,000, whichever Claude model you choose.
Why is ReachClaw so much cheaper, and what's the catch?
The catch is the API key. ReachClaw's price covers the software; the AI itself runs on your own Anthropic API key, and Anthropic bills that usage to you at its published prices. SiteGPT folds the AI into its plan. So compare the ReachClaw plan plus your Anthropic bill against the SiteGPT plan. You can see that usage in your Anthropic console at any time.
Does ReachClaw learn from my website like SiteGPT does?
Yes. When you sign up, ReachClaw reads the pages of your website. You can add documents (PDF, TXT or CSV) and write notes in Knowledge. The chat is told to answer only from that, to link to the page it used, and to say so when your pages don't cover a question. SiteGPT also takes Notion, Google Drive and other sources; ReachClaw doesn't.
Can visitors reach a person when the AI can't answer?
Yes. The chat offers to pass the question to a person. The visitor leaves their email and a note, and you get an alert by email, Telegram or a dashboard pop-up, depending on your notification settings. You reply from the Live chat page, and can have the reply emailed to the visitor too. SiteGPT has a human escalation as well, with team seats on its higher plans; ReachClaw has one account owner.
What happens when I run out of answers?
The chat stays on your site. Instead of answering, it asks visitors to leave their email and a message, and you see it in Live chat. The same happens if your API key stops working. On SiteGPT you buy packs of extra messages.
Can I remove the "Chat by ReachClaw" line?
Yes, on the Growth and Scale plans, at no extra cost. On Solo the line stays at the bottom of the chat. SiteGPT charges $39 a month to remove its branding.
Does ReachClaw work in Slack, WhatsApp or Zendesk?
No. The ReachClaw chat works on your website only, through one line of code you paste into your site. If you need the same bot in messaging apps or inside a helpdesk, SiteGPT is the better fit.
How do I move from SiteGPT to ReachClaw?
Sign up and enter your website; ReachClaw reads your pages. Upload the files you gave SiteGPT, add your Anthropic API key, pick a plan, turn on the chat and try it on the test page. Then replace the SiteGPT script on your site with the one line from the Install tab. Past conversations don't carry over.
Is this comparison written by ReachClaw?
Yes, so read it with that in mind. SiteGPT is a capable product with channels, team seats and data sources we don't have. The SiteGPT figures come from its pricing and product pages as read on 12 October 2026; check their pages for the latest. Our argument is narrow: if you want an AI chat on your website that answers from your pages, at a flat price, with email replies in the same plan, ReachClaw costs a fraction of SiteGPT.
